GaleraHub is a Puerto Galera marketplace. If your property is in Sabang, White Beach, Aninuan or Talipanan this is a real advantage and worth the ten minutes it takes to connect. If your property is anywhere else in the Philippines, this page is not for you — and no other marketplace connector exists yet.
What moves, and which way
MangoHost → GaleraHub
- Availability
- What is actually free, taken from the same calendar your front desk works in — not a second copy that has to be kept in step by hand.
- Rates
- Your base price per room and any monthly override, so the marketplace shows the price you actually charge in that month.
- The listing itself
- Property profile, amenities, images and services, pulled through the snapshot endpoint. Change a photo or a house rule in MangoHost and the listing has it.
GaleraHub → MangoHost
- Booking requests
- A guest books on GaleraHub and it lands in your calendar as a real booking against a real room, with the guest record created if they are new and the marketplace reference kept on it.
- Guest messages
- Chat from the marketplace appears in the property inbox, in the thread for that booking. Staff answer in MangoHost. Nobody keeps a second tab open.
- Cancellations and policy
- The cancellation terms attached to the request are mapped onto the booking, so a flexible marketplace booking and a non-refundable one are not treated the same at the desk.
Why one calendar matters more than it sounds
The double-bookings that hurt in this market almost never come from carelessness. They come from a gap in time: a room is agreed on one surface, and written down on another a few minutes later. In those few minutes, the room is available in both places, and two people can sell it without either of them doing anything wrong.
Connecting the marketplace to the calendar closes that gap, because there is only ever one answer to “is this room free” and the marketplace is asking the same calendar the front desk is looking at. That is also why the inbound request is validated on arrival rather than accepted and reconciled later — a booking that cannot be honoured should fail loudly at the moment it is made, not quietly at check-in.
Connecting it
Generate a pairing secret in GaleraHub
In your GaleraHub seller dashboard, under Integrations, you will find a connection ID and can generate a one-time pairing secret. It is shown once, so generate it immediately before you connect rather than in advance.
Paste both into MangoHost
Settings → Integrations → GaleraHub. Paste the connection ID and the secret. The connection moves from pending to connected once the two sides have shaken hands.
Link the listing to the property
Pick which GaleraHub listing corresponds to this hotel. Your marketplace rooms map onto MangoHost units; anything not explicitly mapped falls back to your first active unit so an inbound booking never disappears because of a naming mismatch.
Watch the first booking arrive
Most properties keep an eye on the first few and then stop thinking about it. If the connection errors, it says so with the reason and the time, in Settings, rather than failing silently.
For the technically minded
It is the same public API you could use yourself
GaleraHub is not a private arrangement wired into the product. It authenticates with a per-property API token, reads GET /snapshot, and pushes to POST /integrations/booking-request and POST /integrations/messages — the same three endpoints documented on the developer page, with HMAC-signed bodies on the two writes.
That matters for a practical reason: if you have your own booking site, an agent’s system, or a marketplace we have never heard of, the same door is open. Nothing about the connector requires our permission.
Questions, answered
- Is GaleraHub useful if my property is not in Puerto Galera?
- No. GaleraHub is a Puerto Galera marketplace, so the connector is worth nothing to a property in Cebu, Palawan or Siargao. It is a genuine advantage in Sabang, White Beach and Aninuan, and nowhere else. We would rather write that than let it read as general channel sync.
- Does this mean MangoHost has a channel manager?
- No, and the two should not be confused. A channel manager syncs Booking.com, Agoda and Airbnb; this syncs one regional marketplace. OTA channel sync is on our roadmap and is not shipping today.
- What happens if the same room sells on both sides at once?
- The inbound request is checked against your calendar as it arrives. If the room is already taken for those dates, the request is refused rather than written down — which is the whole point of the booking passing through the PMS instead of a spreadsheet.
- How long does connecting take?
- Minutes. You paste a connection ID and a one-time pairing secret from your GaleraHub seller dashboard, then link the listing to the property. Rooms map to your MangoHost units; anything unmapped falls back to your first active unit rather than failing.
