Why here
A great place to run a hotel, with none of the software to match
The Philippines has the hospitality — the islands, the guests, the properties. What it has never really had is a system built for the businesses actually running it.

We built MangoHost here because we live here, running a hotel here — and every piece of software we tried was built for somewhere else and adapted afterwards, if it was adapted at all.
The infrastructure gap nobody built for
The Philippines is a genuinely good place to live and to run a hospitality business — the demand is real, the properties are real, the guests keep coming. What has been missing is the software layer underneath it. Every hotel management platform we found was international and generic: built for a market with different habits, different payment methods, and a different idea of what a small property actually looks like.
Built for a market that doesn’t use cards
A ten-room guesthouse in Puerto Galera is not going to put a corporate card on file with a software vendor, and most would not be able to even if they wanted to. Nearly every international platform assumes one exists anyway. We built MangoHost around what is actually true here — InstaPay bank transfer, a flat monthly price in pesos, and no card kept on file, because that is how this market actually pays for things.
Priced for a market that can’t or won’t spend that much
The same international platforms price for hotels with a management budget line — per room, in dollars, scaling with every bed you add. A small Philippine SME does not have that budget and should not need it to run a professional operation. Flat pricing per hotel, not per room, was not a marketing decision; it was the only pricing model that actually fit the properties we were building this for.
When a tool becomes a burden, it stops being a tool
The test we kept coming back to is simple: software is supposed to make running a property easier. The moment it costs more than it saves, requires staff to work around it instead of with it, or assumes paperwork and payment habits that do not match how this country actually operates, it has stopped being a tool and become one more thing to manage. A lot of what exists in this category fails that test quietly — technically functional, practically a burden.
That is the bar MangoHost is built against: PSGC addresses down to the barangay, BIR registration handled in onboarding rather than bolted on, a DOT accreditation flag that does not block anything if you do not have one, senior citizen and PWD discounts computed correctly rather than estimated, and the whole interface in Tagalog as well as English — because the objection that ends most software evaluations here is simply “my staff will not use it.”
Built here, not just for here
Our office is in Balatero, ten minutes from Muelle pier in Puerto Galera. Support runs in Philippine hours, from people who file the same permits our customers do. That is a small, specific thing, and it is exactly the thing an international vendor structurally cannot offer.
