Getting started

The seven steps, and what actually happens at each one

Onboarding is seven steps, and only one field in the whole thing is strictly required before you can move on — everything else can be filled in as you go, and nothing here is lost if you stop and come back tomorrow.

01

Property

Your property's name, a description, photos and amenities, plus check-in and check-out times and your house policies. This is what a guest sees first, so it is worth doing properly rather than filling in later — though nothing here blocks you from moving on.

02

Location

The one required step in this section: region, then city or municipality, from the PSGC list, then a pin on the map for the exact spot. This is what makes your property findable by area rather than only by name, and it is also what the DOT accreditation flag and BIR paperwork later in onboarding are tied to.

03

Property facts

Connectivity, power and water reliability, amenities and house rules — the details that end up in front of a guest, not just in your files. If you expect brownouts or a generator schedule, this is where a guest finds out before check-in rather than at the front desk.

04

Rooms

At least one room type, with its capacity and photos. You can add the rest of your inventory afterwards — this step only asks for enough to get the property functional, not your entire room list on day one.

05

Payments

Your downpayment rule, which methods you accept, and the QR code guests pay to. If you take InstaPay, this is where it is connected — there is no card processor to configure, because there isn't one.

06

Verification

Choose a document type, upload it, repeat for each. Three are required before you can go live: your BIR registration, your Mayor's permit or business licence, and the owner's government ID. DTI registration is optional and mainly boosts trust on your listing rather than gating anything.

07

Review & submit

Submit the listing for review. A person on our team checks it — this is not an instant, fully automated go-live, and we would rather say so than let you assume otherwise.

After you submit

A person reviews it — usually within 48 hours

Submitting is not the same as going live. Someone on our team checks the listing, and we typically get back to you within 48 hours. While you wait, you can keep editing everything you already entered — the review does not lock the property.

Once approved, you choose a plan and start using MangoHost properly. If anything in your submission needs fixing first, we tell you what and why rather than leaving you to guess.

What to have ready before you start

The step that trips people up is Verification, only because it needs documents on hand rather than typed answers. Have these ready and the whole wizard is genuinely an afternoon’s work:

  • Your BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303)
  • Your current Mayor’s permit or business licence
  • A government-issued ID for the property owner
  • DTI registration, if you have one — optional, but worth including
  • A handful of real photos of the property and at least one room type

Coming from a spreadsheet or another system? Tell us that on the demo call and we will help import your rooms, rates and current bookings during onboarding rather than leaving you to re-type them.

Prefer to be walked through it?

We will set your rooms up with you on the call rather than have you do the wizard alone the first time.
